2018 Bark in the Park: Cape Charles, VA

This had been one our favorite dock diving events in the past.  We loved attending this event in both 2015 and 2016 .  We camped at Sunset Beach Resort (another favorite!)

Although were extremely excited to be back a third year in a row in July 2017, the weather  this year was just unbearably hot.  We tried jumping the dogs, but by the time Limoncello’s came up, the temperatures were a real-feel of over 103 degrees… too hot and dangerous to compete in our opinion.

Hooch

Big Air:

22’8″    23’5″     2nd Place Elite Division

Lager

Big Air:

16’2″     17’3″

Even though the one jump that Lager and Hooch executed put them into the Finals, we scratched our jumps for the rest of the weekend, and forfeited our spot in the Finals.  We chose to make the best of  the remainder of the weekend, and enjoy the campground with the dogs.

Back to the campground to enjoy some Chesapeake Bay fun!

It sure wasn’t the weekend we thought it would be, and people thought we were crazy to give our spot in Finals…but our dogs’ safety and health come first.  We made the best of the hot temps, and enjoyed cooling everyone off in the Chesapeake Bay.  A bad storm eventually rolled in, but the outcome was a beautiful double rainbow, and a gorgeous sunset!

Margarita in the Burlington County Times

Now that Margarita is a registered therapy dog, she visits several libraries in our area where children read to her.

Burlington County Times visited the Evesham Library to do a story on their therapy dog program, and Rita made the paper!

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park

While checking-off a 2017 Summer Bucket List item, we were close enough to Barnegat Lighthouse to take an extra little drive and visit this NJ State Park.

Such a pretty lighthouse with an amazing view from the park!

Walking on the Beach

Margarita checked-off another 2017 Summer Bucket List item when we visited the dog Beach on Long Beach Island.

She even went into Barnegat Bay for the very first time (You can see Barnegat Light House across the Bay)!

Margarita had a blast retrieving her toy from the bay!

We had an amazing day!

First Baseball Game!

Margarita checked-off another Summer 2017 Bucket List item …  We attended a Lakewood Blue Claws game together!

On our way to the game:

Arriving at the Blue Claws  home stadium- First Energy Park:

Rita got her own “wrist” band for the game!

Finding our seats… we had a great view!

Watching the game with Pop:

Keeping cool during the game:

Margarita found a doggie friend, and didn’t want to leave his side!

Margarita enjoyed her first ball field hot dog !

Such a fun time!
